80 Kms from Ongole.
A famous buddhist site , here you can see a
stupa made of baked bricks with a prasadakshinapatha outside which
is an exquisitely carved limestone slab depicting two devottes worshipping
a Bodhi tree and a stupa showing the railing , torana , a pavillion
, a horse and a small figure. The lower border is embellished with
carvings of galloping winged lions. An inscription in the Brahmi script
chiseled on the top edge of the slab, dates it to the Satavahana era
of 1-2 century A.D.
